Syslog defines a set of facilities that allow a syslog server to process syslog
messages in various ways depending on both the severity level and the facility
of the message. It can be as simple as determining that messages from a certai
n facility will be stored in a specific file. The facility feature in a cisco r
outer allows you to change the syslog facility, so that you can set up your sys
log server appropriately.
