In the market the CCIE is more valuable than experience more so than other
certifications because it is more difficult to fake than written tests.
Another thing you don't realize because of your limited experience is that
often people with 5 years of experience running a corporate network may not
have actually learned that much. An example (I worked on one of the Cisco
TAC's for a while but had no "real world" experience) One of my old TAC
colleagues was interviewing with someone once who tried to imply that he had
very little "real world" experience. My colleague asked the interviewer how
often the interviewers network went down. Once a month was the reply from
the interviewer. My friend then told the interviewer that he dealt with and
solved 20 similar issues a week at our job. From a configuration and
troubleshooting standpoint there is not much better experience than TAC work
especially when you consider that we often did telnet or dial into
customer's routers and switches to fix the problem which is just as hands on
as consoling in from 3 feet away. And even more difficult requiring more
skill is having to troubleshoot and resolve a problem without being able to
get your hands into the IOS having to rely on the word of someone of unknown
proficiency for your information.
With the CCIE experience is easy to come by without the CCIE it is much
harder to get that experience and you are much less well paid in the
meantime.

Hi, all,

I'm sorry to write that idiot email. Please don't reply it any more.
Actually I only want to know, CCIE certification and experience, which is
more important? which is more valuable?

I'm really sorry about my email because I didn't say it clearly and didn't
say it in a good way.

Thank you for your forgiving.

Dezhong Cai
