There is some truth in this. I know at one point you had to be a gold
partner to attend the ASET class. They then relaxed that somewhat, but I
think they are moving back in that direction. The ASET class is no cost to
you. You only have to get to San Jose, and stay there (Not cheap either).
They also will provide some Mentor Tech VLab credits to gold partners. I
don't know what else they do.

that Cisco helps gold partners pay for training of their employees? Is there
