<P>I've been working through the Complex Redistribution (ex #11) in the Slatter
y/Burton book. What I'm trying to understand is how they were able to get the O
SPF routes for the 162.16.x.x network summarized into the EIGRP routing domain
and throughout the various areas.&nbsp; </P>
<P>Figure 6-129, on page 331-333 shows a capture of the configuration of the Lo
ndon router and it routing table. In the routing table it identifies the summar
y route to the 162.16.0.0/16 net work and it's this route that proprogates thro
ughout the the example.&nbsp; When looking at the configuration there is no sum
marization of this network into the eigrp domain.&nbsp; </P>
<P>Anyone worked through this lab and encountered this problem or am I doing so
mething wrong...</P>

<DIV></DIV>&gt;I would be willing to collect these kinds of things, create a do
cument, and
<DIV></DIV>&gt;post it to my web site. Fact is, I have a collection of things n
ow. I just
<DIV></DIV>&gt;haven't compiled them yet. This might be a good incentive.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Someone also mentioned another web site with a list of "minefiel
ds" what
<DIV></DIV>&gt;site was that? ( it was not contained in the post, that I could
find )

<DIV></DIV>&gt;I do remember that.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Maybe just post the list out once a week and ask if anyone can a
dd to it.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;It's possible people forget but it's something everyone needs.

<DIV></DIV>&gt;I've already requested "gotchas" for networking in general (not
specific
<DIV></DIV>&gt;to the lab) and said I would organize them and post the results
to
<DIV></DIV>&gt;everyone. I received a grand total of about five responses.

<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; Can only be a good idea
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; How about we label it in the subject area so we can identi

<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; Good afternoon gang,.......
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; I woke up this morning with an idea. The idea is this.....
. I want to
<DIV></DIV>&gt;start
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; a list of "got to knows and gotchas". As I work through my
 practice labs,
<DIV></DIV>&gt;I
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; run across things that are so damn important to know for t
his lab
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; preparation. I find it nearly impossible to know everythin
g. What I am
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; hoping will happen to this thread is that others will "add
" their "got
<DIV></DIV>&gt;to
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; knows and gotchas"....... And after awhile we should have
a very nice
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; collection of things that we all feel are "got to knows an
d gotchas" that
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; we
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; can ALL print out and use as a valuable collection of info
rmation. Feel
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; free
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; to validate or challenge others "got to knows and gotchas"
.......
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; I have put together some of the areas that are the obvious
 heavy hitters.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;I
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; have added my 2 cents worth of things that I feel are "got
 to knows and
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; gotchas".......
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; P.S. BY ALL MEANS add any other topics that you feel will
be beneficial.
