Auto RP in NBMA network

My second day of understanding multicasting ..so here goes my list of silly
questions..

I got Hub and 2 spokes working fine with rp nailed the hub's serial ip ..
spokes ping fine to other spoke's IGMP joined addresses..

so i now i am configuring auto RP ..
R1 is the hub and R4- R5 are the spokes with serial 170.10.1.1 , 1.4 and 1.5
respectively ...

I configure the hub as the mapping agent and have all 3 routers R1,R4 and R5
send rp announce ...at 4 sec interval .. now it selects R5 as the RP ..but
now R4 cannot ping R5's multicast group 225.5.5.5 and similarly i cant ping
R4's 225.4.4.4 from R5 ..

so now i create a loopback with 192.168.100.1 on R1 and make that part of
the rp annouce and now R4 and R5 can ping each other fine ..

question is :
IN NBMA it looks like the ONLY safe place to nail the RP would be a good
high ip on the Hub running the ip pim nbma mode ...or Is there a different
way to get this working ?

Can i have a spoke as RP ( partial frame mesh here) ? if so how do i get
this working ?

ofcourse i could change serial of R1 to 170.10.1.100 ..alright now i change
all spoke frame maps etc ..probably this could have gone in as part of the
initial design itself ..

Cheers,Padhu
