The cd has the command reference from 12.1 all the way back to I think 9.1.
There are some configuration guides on the cd.

I would get familar with the CD and not use the IOS manuals. There are manuals
in the lab but most people rarely use them. But don't depend too much on
the CD.
It should be looked at as a resource if you need it. If you configure what
you need to
with out referring to the CD it will save a lot of time. And time does get
to be a problem.
And the best way to get to this point is to go through the CD and practice
alot.
