Lab 16 VPN

I am working on ccbootcamp lab #16. On task 5, number 4 it states "tunnel is
flapping because of recursive routes" I ran into this problem and what I
had to do to get this working is prevent R8 from advertising routes into the
VPN tunnel. My question is why? Why did these routes caused the tunnel to
flap?
