There have been many postings on this subject and the consensus has been
that it will work for PRI but not for BRI. You must have an emulator for
BRI.

When originally searching for my home lab components I bought an (8) port
BRI ISDN module for the Cisco 4000. I thought that if a Cisco router had a
Serial port and could be a Frame-relay switch, then naturally a module with
a lot of BRI interfaces it could be an ISDN BRI switch. I have since bought
a Teltone Demonstrator. So, maybe there is still hope for my logic (and
money spent) on (8) port BRI module!
