debug ip ospf adjacency. This is one of the best debugs Cisco has, it
usually tells you exactly what the problem is, whether it's mtu mismatch,
etc. Also, depending what version of IOS you have (it's always best to
include that and show run from both routers), making a lot of changes can
sometimes cause problems with ospf. Clearing the ospf process or removing
and readding will solve the problem, as you saw. Here's a quick tip for
quickly doing so:

- copy run start
- no router ospf x (where x is your process id)
- config mem

now you're back to where you were, you've removed and readded ospf.
