I've now spent a few minutes looking over the hits I got on CCO. There were
only four.

In all cases, the error appears to be a result of hardware issues. the
recommended action in all the cases I looked at was to copy the error
message and call tech support. In some cases, one is requested to run a show
tech-support and provide that information to Cisco.

Idle curiousity - which platform are you using? And which IOS version?

Chuck

Subject: ospf error messages - anyone seen this

Hi all,

I have a router redistributing between IGRP and OSPF. So I put in a static
route to null 0 because
one of the ospf subnets (170.100.66.0) is subnetted at 27 bits and my IGRP
is running at the 24 bit boundary.

However, now I am constantly getting ospf-4-notredist4: database scnner
external lsa 170.100.66.0/24 is lost, reinstalls.

Anyone seen this. I have distribute lists in place to prevent
route-feedback, and am redistributing static to
under igrp to get this route.
my configs and a display logging are attached as a text file.

Thanks,

Julie Ann
