Hi,

I'm trying to get one of my routers to dial out to an ISP. I can't seem to
get it to go. I would have thought you can use the default chat script and
then just use PPP PAP authentication, but it doesn't work. Do I need to use
a login script, and if so, what is the format:

interface Serial1
 physical-layer async
 ip address negotiated
 no ip directed-broadcast
 encapsulation ppp
 dialer in-band
 dialer string *52086733322
 dialer-group 1
 async default routing
 async mode dedicated
 fair-queue 64 16 0
 ppp chap hostname mengaj
 ppp chap password 7 08354D40001851
 ppp pap sent-username mengaj password 7 03105A050F0E75

line 2
 no exec
 autoselect ppp
 modem InOut
 modem autoconfigure discovery
 transport input all
 speed 115200

dialer-list 1 protocol ip permit

R2#debug ppp negotiation
