Hi,

I am doing Bootcamp 11, and just have the following problem.

R6-----R1------R5
           |
           |
          R3

R1, R5 and R6 are in ISIS area 00.0002 and R3 is in ISIS area 00.0001. They
are all interconnected via frame-relay point-to-point interfaces. R1 forms
adjacencies with R3 and R6 no problem, but does not form properly with R5.

In debug isis adj - I get this error:

ISIS-Adj: No usable IP interface addresses in serial IIH from Serial0.3

If I do a show clns is-neighbor:

R1#sh clns is-neigh

System Id Interface State Type Priority Circuit Id Format
R3 Se0.2 Up L2 0 00 Phase V
R6 Se0.1 Up L1L2 0 00 Phase V
0050.50C0.0400 Se0.3 Up IS 0 00 Phase V

As you can see the state is IS and not L2 or L1L2 - R5 also does not see any
ISIS routes.

Any ideas??

R1:

router isis
 net 00.0002.0010.7bc2.8c72.00

int s0.1
 ip router isis
int s0.2
 ip router isis
int s0.3
 ip router isis
int f0
 ip router isis

R5:

router isis
 net 00.0002.0050.50c0.0400.00
int s1/0.1
 ip router isis
