There is an expansion card that apparently takes over the boot process and
provides console connection. I believe it uses one of the pci slots on the
board. That card is the one that hosts flash etc, and has console/failover
connectors on it. Otherwise, it is just a regular pc, and pix 520 seems to
use intel etherexpress pro adapter ($5 at ebay)

Subject: PIX Mainboard
Hi !
Does anyone know what Mainboard is in a PIX Firewall 510 / 515 / 520 ?
I know that they are Intel-Based Systems, but I don't know how they
manage the Flash on the board or what board EXACTLY is used.
Anyone any ideas ???
Kind regards,
Boris
