cat telnet session

Hi

I have one question to ask. The senario is:

---Cat6500(sw1)----------(EtherChannel)-------Cat6500(sw2)-----

If I telnet to Sw2 from Sw1 and change some settings
on Sw2 (e.g. IP addresses, Trunking), I will lose the
telnet session.
My console session (to Sw1) also got stuck. Anyway to
recover the console session (beside rebooting it)?
