Only in RIPv2 is this supported, identical to the EIGRP summary command:

int e0
 ip summary-address rip 10.0.0.0 128.0.0.0

It is only supported in RIPv2 as this RIPv1 does not include subnet mask
information

Subject: RIP summary routes?

Is it possible to send a summary route to a neighbor? I have a practice lab
that asks me to configure RIP to only unicast a summary route of 140.1.0.0
to a neighbor router. I have searced CCO and tried doing this with no luck.
Is this even possible or is the author of the lab on drugs?
