Hi All,
I'm a bit confused (might be the hair color.) anyways, once I get two
computers running NetBeui - how do I make them communicate - ie.e
what types of commands or NetBios names must I setup on the computers. Is there
any good links to help me with setting this up to learn more about DLSW?
Also, can I test source route translational bridging (SR/TLB) this way? I have
the following setup, but I do not know how to test if it works, and I am
seeing no frames
forwarded:
R4 ---- Ethernet--- R1 ---- Token Ring --- R6---Token Ring --- R2 ---
Ethernet ---- R6
R6 is a SRB bridge. R1 and R2 are setup for SR/TLB. I can ping from R2 to
R1, so I know
that SRB is working fine across the Token Ring. But I wanted to test the
SR/TLB portion.
Any ideas how I could use NetBeui to do that? I'm just getting started on
the IBM
SR/TLB and DLSW stuff so any pointers to how to setup test labs would be
great. I've
read back through lots of emails on this list, but I still haven't figured
out how to set
up the NetBeui to properly test DLSW or SR/TLB.
another problem I am having, if I turn on debug source bridge on R2 and R1,
( I have also issued the command "no source bridge 3 transparent
fastswitch") I get no output to my screen. When I do a show source it still
shows local fastswitched under the Explorers part:

Thanks,
Julie Ann
