just to clarify, CLNS has been removed. It would appear that integrated
IS-IS ( IP over IS-IS ) is still alive and kicking. As it should be. Lord
knows there are enough ISP's that run it. Anyone have a better primer than
Doyle? It read well. I have not yet tried IS-IS of any kind in the lab.
BTW, there was an interesting ( to me, anyway ) discussion on NANOG
yesterday about IS-IS.

That's an untrue statement. all of the labs build on top of an IP backbone.
the multiprotocol labs add in the desktop protocols on top of the IP
network. Why are you exaggerating the amount of this technology on the
practice labs in your anti-endorsement? Doesn't impart an impression of
someone making a resonable argument.
BTW, where did you read or hear that ISIS is gone? It's not listed as being
pulled on the cisco web page.
