Hi Team,

I have 3 routers R1,R2 and R3 connected to a CAT5K
switch all on the same VLAN.

One of the routers R1 has joined a multicast group say
224.5.5.5. The ethernet interfaces of the routers are
running cgmp with the "ip cgmp " command. PIM sparse
mode is also enabled on all routers and the RP is
R1.

I have also enabled cgmp on the switch with "set cgmp
enable " command.

R2 and R3 can ping 224.5.5.5 and get the response from

R1.

However, when I give " show multicast group cgmp " on
the switch, it is empty. It should show me the vlan
ID,
port no. and the multicast mac-address. But its not
happening.

Am I missing something ? Pls. help.

Regards

Honeid Rupawala.
