I've been getting flamed because apparently I did not communicate clearly in
my response to Derek's question. Before you fire off any more hate mail
please read the next two sentences:

I was trying to say that my questions to him were dumb, because they were
basic things that he probably already checked (which he had). I was not
accusing him of asking dumb questions.

I was apologizing in advance for asking him if he had checked the basics.
That's it.

I belive my message conveyed my meaning correctly according to the rules of
written english beecause I specified what "these" were in the same
paragraph, but looking at it now I can see that it doesn't read very well.

I just want to help people and be helped. Trust me, my ego has been checked
into the coatroom.
