Hi all
R1---- R2 ----- R3
e0 e0 e1 e0
R1's e0 has IP 172.16.2.1/24
R3 e0 has IP 172.16.2.3/24
On R2 IP routing is disabled
and R2 e0 and e1 are in bridge-group1
When I send a ping from r1 or R3 I get a encapsulation failed message (
using debug ip packet )
I am wondering why is it so as theoretically R2 should act as a bridge for
the arp frames and R3 and R1 should be able to ping each other
Corrext me if I am wrong
I have not enabled any bridging on R1 and R3,If I do have to enable it
which I guess will make it work then why ???
Thanks in advance for the valuable feedback
Abdul Rahim
