Dave,
I have used it with great success to stop customers using all the CPU on a
box
by doing something daft like polling the AT (MAC/ARP) table every 5 minutes.
Below is a sample. As for figuring out quickly the mibname I would suggest
that
you load the mibs into something like http://www.mg-soft.com/ they have an
excellant mib compiler and viewer. Once you have found which variable/s
you wish to exclude you can use the OID instead of the mibname so the OIDs
are numbers like .1.3.6.1.4.1.9. the slight trick is that if you wish to
exclude the
whole tree add a .0 to the end of it.

Or you could trawl through the Cisco mibs and figure it out yourself our you
might
have some look looking the OID up in ftp://ftp.cisco.com/pub/mibs/oid

snmp-server view cutdown internet included
snmp-server view cutdown at excluded
snmp-server view cutdown ip.21 excluded
snmp-server view cutdown ip.22 excluded

Hope this helps drop me a line if you get stuck.

Regards,
Kevin
