True. I just wanted to bounce this off the list and
get ideas for testing voice in a remote/telnet-rack
environment where your only access from outside world
is a term-server. Anything off the term server you
can't get to from outside directly. Modems are the
best solution in this scenario since you can reverse
telnet into one, take it offhook (ATDT [plar] or
ATDTxxxx) and the other side will say RING if your
Voice-over stuff is working. I know real phones, H323
connection would be better but you always can't be in
the same physical location or attached to the same
network.
