While it is true that OSPF and IS-IS do not employ split horizons, the
scenario you describe is really not a problem. Remember when you
redistribute into OSPF, the routes will be marked as External Type 1 (E1) or
External Type 2 (E2) routes. When you redistribute out of OSPF, you simply
need to tell the router Not to redistribute routes marked as external. You
may specify the type on the redistribute command line.
Take care,
Paul Borghese

Hi,
Generally, you need to be very careful with OSPF (and possibly IS-IS) as the
link state protocol does not employ split horizon. This means an external
OSPF route that has been redistributed into OSPF will be redistributed back
out.
For Distance Vector, split horizon normally prevents this. The only issue
occurs when you have multiple points of mutual redistribution where you
should use filtering.
