Don't know why you couldn't do IPX EIGRP or NLSP over DDR.
But with IPX do you really want to do IPX EIGRP, NLSP or RIP over DDR?
The link is going to be up all the time from all the routing updates.
Most of the configurations I have seen is to use static routing on DDR or
snapshot routing.
