Subject: BGP Metric Problem

Hi I have neraly gone nuts ,on the lab on pg 374 Bassam Halabi

My configuration is

RTC- - - - - RTD
       \ /
        RTE
RTC and RTD have the same configs as the Lab

The BGP tables on RTC and RTD are

RTD#
*> 193.78.0.0/16 36.0.0.2 60 0 7 i
* i 35.0.0.2 50 100 0 7
i

And on RTC#
* i193.78.0.0/16 36.0.0.2 60 100 0 7 i
*> 35.0.0.2 50 0 7 i

The route being Advertised by RTE is 193.78.0.0/16
And it has no configurations other then blocking all updates from RTC and
RTD and setting the metric to 50 and 60 for the neighbors RTC and RTD
respectively

But still the RTC and RTD are not behaving the way they should
Thanks
Abdul
