Actually, you can. Check the archives, there's been a couple of
discussions on this within the past few months. I know from personal
experience you can do it when using a unix box and dialing into a terminal
server. I believe the break sequence is <ctrl><shift>right
bracket, which is the ] key. You're then given a prompt and you type "send
break" and press enter. Voila, you've done it.
