I think what you really need is not just a lab but a personal lab, one that
you will face day in and day out. 3 routers are not enough. I would suggest
7 routers.

5 to simulated the main lab and another two to simulate the back bone that
you will not have access to. Of course, it would be nice to have the ISDN
simulator, TokenRings !!, Cat5K, ATM and VoIP. Those will complete your lab.
:-)

Finally, you need the full range of IOS, i.e. v11.2 , v11.3 , v12.x and of
courses, the usual Enterprises versions and IPSEC 56 versions.

Oh yeah, don't forget those expensive back to back cables, you need lots of
those, plus MAU, hubs, etc...
