Does anybody know how to filter on sub-AS IDs within a confederation? I
have a confederation with three sub-ASs. I want to apply specific
attributes to routing updates coming from another sub-AS within the
confederation. I have tried using the "show ip bgp regexp" command to match
on the sub-AS but no matter what combination of parameters I tried, I never
could get a match. I used the "show ip bgp quote-regexp '65005'" and was
able to get a match but I cannot find out how to use this in an AS-path
access list.
I defined "ip as-path access-list 1 permit '65005'" but the update would not
match.
