In interface configuration mode change the network type to point-to-point.
Interface loop 0
ip ospf network point-to-point

Subject: loop back interfaces and ospf
Hi all,
does anyone know how to get OSPF to advertise a loopback as a subnet vs a
host route?
If I have Router 1 with a loop back interface, ip address 172.16.220.1, and
that loopback is in area 0.
Router 2, also in area 0, has a host route in it's ip routing tables vs. a
subnet route for 172.16.220.0
Here's the setup
172.16.220.1
loopback 0 --------R1 --------------Serial ---------R2
172.16.1.0
on router 1 and router 2:
router ospf 1
network 172.16.0.0 0.0.255.255 area 0
I thought about using area 0 range 172.16.220.0 255.255.255.0
but it did not make a difference.
Thanks,
Julie Ann
