Hi,

A Rendeaveau Point (RP) is a point where multicast
clients send their join requests to and learn about
others in the group. Once they know who's who and
where they send directly to them. This is in sparse
mode, in dense-mode everybody knows about everybody.

Think of a RP as a operator. You ask them about where
x is and they tell you how to get there.
