>From a legal standpoint NDA can be summarized simply as the following :

The intent is not to breach the integrity of the CCIE written & lab
methodologies.

So, while you may ask questions on here that are identical to what you may have
taken in the lab or been asked on the written test, you may not make reference
to whether such material is or is not on a given test.

This ensures that the vast content on here, as seen by the list members, is ALL
something worth studying and that there is truly no way to diffrentiate between
one item or another as to it's potential usefulness against a given test in the
CCIE realm.

Someone would only recognize an identical match to a CCIE lab if they had taken
the same lab as the the person posting the information; but of course that's no
w
useless because neither of you will ever get the same lab ever again, and the
people who have not taken that lab have no idea this tidbit is even useful
because you have not violated NDA by confirming nor denying it's applicability
to CCIE certification.

Complex, yet stunningly easy. And besides, despite the shellshock of the first
test, and the stress of going after that, you get to a point where it's just fu
n
and you really couldn't learn more by spending $1000 on say a class or somethin
g
else, and you begin to appreciate the whole process and want to keep it in tact
.

I think anyone who has taken the CCIE lab at least twice has serious fortitude.

One last comment, the proctor I had in RTP, Alan, was a true professional.
I've taken the lab 3x so far (and have made it to day 2) and he was the best
proctor yet. I also was lucky to meet the proctor from Sydney who was in RTP
at the time, and he is a really nice guy too. Kudos to Jeff Buddemeier in RTP
and his staff.

Except for Kathy, I would say the proctors in San Jose are terrorists.

Last but not least, Broadcom chips power a wide range of Cisco products (take a
peek at a Catalyst 10/100 card soemtime.. or a Cisco Cable Router) and we are
proud to be focused on promoting Cisco Certification within our organization.

Everyone on here is very bright and I've seen some great material. Truly a
guru get together!

Mr Nobody@groupstudy.com,

I find it incredibly funny you choose not to use your real name.

I am not a CCIE yet(and yes I have been to the lab) and I was one of the
people who noticed that NDA issues were present on this list. That is
unacceptable.

Unless integrity (one of our core values at Cisco) is maintained in the
program it could become another "CNE" type certification. Remember when the
CNE was worth $? Now a CNE and $1.99 will get you a happy meal at McDonalds.

Good luck in your hunt for CCIE.

Why is it some of you CCIEs only get involved in this
group to preach to us about the NDA? From my own
personal experience with some recent CCIEs, they don't
seem to care that much about violating the NDA policy
BEFORE they take the test (and I can point to several
who shared their previous labs with me) but boy does
their opinion change once they get their cert! Then it
was only by their hard work and dedication they
passed. Not that I don't understand it, that's
probably how I'll act too! I just can't stomach the
whining! As if telling someone that multicasting will
be on the exam will help them pass, give me a break.
Feel free to flame!
