1. unplug the switch
2. hold the mode button down while plugging the power cord back in
3. release the mode button a couple of seconds after the light above port 12
goes off
4. type flash_init
5. type load_helper
6. type rename flash:config.text flash:config.text.old
7. type boot
8. switch to enable mode
9. type rename flash:config.text.old flash:config.text
10. type copy start run
11. enter config mode, and reset the password.
Btw, this is in the desktop switching software configuration guide. Look
under troubleshooting.
