You can configure the command "ip igmp join-group x.x.x.x" on your
(ethernet) interface. This is the only way to get CLI to emulate
this.

Subject: OT: IGMP Software
I am currently working on Multicasting for the Lab and for the sheer
hell of it........Does anybody know of any Software/ Freeware whatever
that is available that you can configure to initiate IGMP joins (V1 OR
V2) or both. I have seen one before that a Guy was using....basically
you configure it to join whatever groups you want, it initiates the
IGMP join and away you go........it also supplies stats on how much
multicast traffic it has received etc................The front end was
via DOS, it a bit like those TTCP programs you download and you just
type a command at the program directory with all the relevant
paramenter, the group address etc....
Alternatively can you configure this on a Router ??..........I know
you can configure static mroutes etc.........but I am just looking for
something to emulate the Client IGMP stuff, not a PIM neighbor or
whatever..........
Any ideas ???
