You need a Rolled RJ45 Cat 5 cable. Any standard Console cable would work.

Yes they can but you won't see this in the lab so why practice using them.
I would rather practice with ISDN since it's likely I will see this in
the lab and the configuration are slightly different using modems,
POTS lines, etc.
