That is not correct, it does work even if you are not in area 0. In the case
of the CCBOOTCAMP labs I was able to make mine work fine.

I haven't tried this myself, but in the bootcamp labs, mention is made
to the effect that it (the on demand circuit) does not work if you are not
in area 0.

Hello guys,
Tested OSPF demand circuit in my lab. But I can't make the demand circuit
over no backbone area(not area 0) working. Changed it to area 0, it
works!!!! Is there any specific command I should do for non backbone
area???
How about demand circuit over OSPF virtual-link? Anybody has some config
for
these two scenario? I greatly appreciate your help.
