Distribute lists will only work for OSPF on inbound distribute
lists..............link state !

The filter route will only be affected on the Router the distribute list is
configured on..........i.e. if you have a transit router and filter a route
from progressing at the transit router, it will not enter the transit
routers RIB, but it will be forwarded to downstream routers and appear in
there LSDB's.......as well as RIB's.if not filtered again............
