Hi Jim

I have done what you have done once or twice in the past, but it was with a
3640. I know for a fact that I used xmodem to transfer the image. Due to the
fact that xmodem transmits @ 9600bps you are going to have to change your
console port speed to 115200 as well as your hyperterminal speed for a
faster upload to the router. In ht go to transfer then send file- it will
then propmt you with the location of the image and off you go. On the you
are going to have to pretty much play around and see.

I haven't read up on whether it will work on a 4000, but I think it should.

Subject: 4000 flash erased, help!

Hello,

I accidentally erased my 4000 router flash and can't
boot up. It didn't recognize my ethernet port so won't
boot from net.

How do I recover the IOS?

Thanks in advance.

Jim
