Hello all,
Was going thru x.25 and trying to set it up back to back and I have a couple
of questions.
1. I configured R1 and R2 back to back x.25 encapsulation. R1 was DCE and
R2 DTE. I gave both routers unique X.121 addresses and mapped it with the
x.25 map command with the corresponding ip address. I was able to ping on
both routers and everything was fine. Now, I then proceeded to configure
both routers for OSPF. I could not get both routers to be adjacent because
1 or both routers would not pass the multicast hellos over the x.25 link.
The hello timers on both routers were the same and I added the "Broadcast"
command on both x.25 map statements on each side.
Can anyone shed light on this? I also tried SHOW CDP and CDP was not
working with the "Broadcast" command enabled. Next I proceeded to try RIP
and RIP Worked!!!
The only was OSPF would establish adj. was thru the manual neighbor command.
2. The 2nd question was to see if anyone out there has a sample of
configuration of x.25 switching? I would like to configure my 4000 with 4
serials and set it up as a x.25 cloud.
Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Jon
