My understanding was that you need a 2500 or better to run BGP.
I had a 1605 but got rid of it primarily because I wanted to run the
enterprise feature set.

My 1603 with 12.0.11 shows a very interesting behaviour. It has the "router
bgp"
in the online help, but can't use it:
