just to reiterate what mark stated....I thought to gain entry to this list
was that you were scheduled to take the CCIE lab within 90 days? (or
something like that) or you have already had to be a CCIE already. That is
why I hovered around the other groups until I was finally scheduled for the
Lab...then I hopped into this one.
Please don't get discouraged from the response from the folks in this
group...I have notice that they are really really really helpful when you
have a technical questions like ATM, LANE, Dialer groups...etc...(this group
is dangerous on the knowledge that they have) but 99.99999% of the folks in
this group do and so should you, take the NDA seriously...it both preserves
the integrity of the exam and certification itself.
now with that stated....the written does cover everything under the
sun...which basically took me 2 years of reading and doing other stuff
before I felt I was even worthy of taking the written exam...even with that,
there were things on that exam I had never heard of. Pass or fail, this
journey has made me a better Network Professional for both my customers and
myself....don't get discouraged from the scrapes and bruises...just brush
off the dust and continue on...it will make getting to the destination much
more rewarding and enjoyable...
The thing that keeps me going from day to day, studying numerous hours that
seem to never end...is all of those unplanned emails from folks in this
group making it as CCIEs and listening to there stories...
Routers, Switches, and protocols are just technology....it is the people
that make it work and makes it interesting....
I encourage to ask more questions...dumb and interesting....be prepared for
both the pat on the backs and bruises...that is just life....just chug
along...
Have a good journey...

I thought you had to have already passed the written exam to gain access to
this list. That's why there are no references to the written, only the lab.
Good luck anyway!
