Heya

Well..if you take the card out and its working normally then put it back in
and its booting with error messages you probably have a hardware issue. If
the router has been up and running normally for a long time without being
rebooted its not uncommon for a problem to occure when its finally rebooted.
If this is the case you probably have a some bad memory. The card may be
trying to access a area of the memory that is damaged. If you do a show tech
and have trace back errors under the "show stacks" area, these can be decoded
on the stack decoder and searched on for a clearer evaluation.

Parity errors usually end up being related to memory problems so you will
have to probably replace the memory.

At boot-up this is hat happens to my cisco 4000 with 11.2 IOS flash/main =
4/16, also (1) 2port serial module. When I take the module out the system
boots correctly. The script below is the error the router spits out in a
looping manner. I couldn't find anything on CCO about this specific error
message, although I know it's related to the serial module and share memory
in the router. There was no hardware or software change just reload. Another
thing no matter what slot I use the only change in the error message the
represented slot. Has anyone experienced this before or has a resolution?
All helpful info will be appreciated.
