Check the DCE-DTE cable, you may have it plugged in backwards (DTE
plugged in to DCE switch). Show Controller S2 will display the cable
   that is attached.

   Subject: DCE LMI down

I have RouterC connected to another router which is configured as FR
switch. However, the serial port on FR switch router always have int
up but line protocol down while RouterC looks fine.

   RouterC ---- FR Switch router

I swapped the cable, no help. The only thing I noticed was "DCE LMI
   down" on FR switch side

The following is config and show int output . It seems quite simple
setup but I couldn't figure out why. All the other connection on FR
switch router are working normally. Pls help !
