Hello,
In some example, I saw type list used for appletalk and lsap list used
for novell and hence the confusion.
Appletalk access filter
access-list 200 permit 0x809b 0x0000
access-list 200 permit 0x80f3 0x0000
int token ring0
source-bridge input-type-list 200
Novell access filter
access-list 201 permit 0xe0e0 0x0001
int token ring 0
source-bridge input-lsap-list 201

I reckon you should use TYPE codes with routable protocols and LSAPs
for non-routable.
ie TYPE for Banyan, ipx, ip, apple - LSAP for netbios, sna, llc

Thanks Simon for the info.
My question is which access list we should use, if the question is to
block novell access or Appletalk access.
Do we need to use respective type code or LSAP codes.
Pls advise

Type is the Ethernet Type Code
LSAP is the DSAP/SSAP pair in the 802.2 frame
have a look at
http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/access/acs_mod/3303e/s
oftware/bctb.htm#xtocid1911516
on the Docs CD. Or look on CCO in SRB and Transparent bridging.

Hello,
Could somene pls guide me on the difference between input-type-list &
input-lsap-list.
I found few examples n which they used Type list for blocking few
protocls(Appletalk) and Lsap list for blocking few protocols(Novell)
in DLSW.
