So, as with CHAP, the username, and password should already be in the local
database of the other router?

Thanks,

I got a little fancy with ip unnumbered and dialer profiles, but you get the
idea.

interface BRI1/1
 no ip address
 no ip directed-broadcast
 encapsulation ppp
 dialer pool-member 1 priority 255
 isdn switch-type basic-ni
 isdn spid1 00000000101
 isdn spid2 00000010101
 ppp multilink
!
interface Dialer0
 ip unnumbered FastEthernet0/0
 no ip directed-broadcast
 encapsulation ppp
 ip route-cache flow
 dialer remote-name cisco
 dialer string 2125551212
 dialer hold-queue 10
 dialer load-threshold 1 either
 dialer pool 1
 dialer-group 1
 fair-queue 64 16 0
 ppp authentication pap callin
ppp pap sent-username myrouter password 0 letmein
 ppp multilink
!
dialer-list 1 protocol ip permit

All,

Does any body have a working config using PPP encapsulation with PPP PAP
authentication using the PPP PAP sent-username sent command. I have been
trying to configure this but it is not working for me.
