Like Earl mentioned in an earlier post, you need practice and hands-on! I
never used the bootcamp labs, but our very creative CCIE made several
practice labs that were more difficult that the real labs I took in San
Jose. Without his help, I would probably be studying for my third attempt
rather than celebrating passing. In summary, get hands-on, anyway you can
get it, but get scenarios from different sources. Fatkid is a good source
for a lot of the basics, but you need really f-ked up requirements to truly
be prepared.

After writing to everyone about what I did right and wrong I was reminded
that I left an important name out of my list. Ccbootcamp and Marc Russell
deserve to be mentioned for their labs. I said, in my earlier email, that
if you want to pass this test it's going to take practice and more practice.
The bootcamp labs give you a look at the material from a different angle.
You need this. Marc's labs are so twisted and off the wall sometimes that
they make you think about what is really going on inside the protocol or
technology. They made me question things that I have taken for granted for
years. They make you dig deeper where you wouldn't think of digging.
There are many of us on the list that are working on or have worked on these
labs and you can reference them by number and task when asking questions.
These labs helped me tremendously and were definitely instrumental my
passing.
