Hi,
a. The 'no auto summary' command in bgp causes routes redistributed from an
IGP not to be summarised as they are advertised.
b. You can modify the admin. distance of some routes by using:
hostname(config-router)#distance 150 x.x.x.x y.y.y.y 1
where 150 is the admin dist, x.x.x.x y.y.y.y is the source of the route(s)
(0.0.0.0 255.255.255.255 is obviously any source), and the 1 is a link to an
access-list (eg. access-list 1 permit 172.16.5.0 0.0.0.255 in combination
with the above would set the admin dist. for route 172.16.5.0 to 150).
Hope that helps.
Mark
