I just bought a 1600 series router off of E-Bay... the add clearly stated I
was purchasing a 1601 R, but I suspect that I was sent a straight 1601. The
router is still shrink-wrapped along with all the accessories.
First, does anyone know an easy way to determine the type of 1601 without
opening the package? The product code on the sticker clearly shows 1601, not
1601-R. Does Cisco list the "-R" on the outside sticker?
Second, I am not very familiar with the 1600 series, so is there a way to
upgrade a 1600 to a 1600-R model? (boot-ROM etc.)
