I am working on CCBootcamp.com lab 11 in which you configure an OSPF routing
domain and an ISIS routing domain.
Inside of OSPF, all links are area 0, and in ISIS there are 2 areas, 1 and
2. On my redistribution router (R5), I configure mutual redistribution
between OSPF and ISIS. My ISIS routers see all routes learned via OSPF
redistribution except those that are directly attached to R5, and the same
goes for OSPF...all OSPF routers can see all ISIS links except those that
are directly attached to R5....
Inside of ISIS all routers see all ISIS links, up to and including the ISIS
enabled interface on R5. Inside of OSPF, all routers see all OSPF links up
to and including the OSPF interface on R5.
This doesn't make any sense. I have seen something similar to this before
where I had to redistribute between OSPF and EIGRP from an ASBR that was
attached to area0, and I had to redistribute connected to get the connected
network on the ASBR to redistribute into EIGRP, and this seems to be a
similar issue. Anyone interested in helping? I will gladly send you the
configs!
Thanks,
Ryan
