Hi Andres,

Thank you for your help.
I understand the concept of the PPP Multilink feature.
The problem I am having is the bonding of multiple BRI ports.
If I have 2 or more physical ISDN line coming into a single router,
how can I bond them together to achieve 256K?

Here is the setup.
2 routers with 2 BRI ports on each. 2 ISDN line PER router.

1) under normal operation (64K)
The routers will be using a single B channel of the primary ISDN line.

2) traffic volume incread (128K)
The PPP multilink will kick in and the secondary B channel will be bonded
to the primary B channel.

3) Heavy traffic (192K)
When the both B channel of the 1st ISDN line becomes congested, the 2nd
ISDN line will kick in.
Only the first B channel of the 2nd ISDN will be used.

4) Maximum traffic (256K)
Once the first B channel of the 2nd ISDN gets congested,
PPP multilink will kick in for the 2nd ISDN line.
Now I am using all 4 B channels as one link (hence the term BRI bonding)

Anybody have any idea?
TIA

Richard

I am not sure if I am inderstanding the questin correctly, since you are
talking about multiple directory numbers, and multiple dialer strings if
youare
trying to BOND two chaneels together, and have them act as the smae
interface,
all you have to do is set dialer load threshold to 1. The second Bchannel
will
dial immediately after the first. This is a fairly basic ISDN setup, so I
don't
think this will help you. perhaps if you could state your scenario with a
little more detail, I can help.
