I took the class from ARS a few weeks ago. Caslow apparently started
teaching the class for ARS before going to Chesapeak (now Mentor) and the
name was changed to ECP1.
I haven't taken ECP from Mentor, but I thought ARS's class was good. Covers
voice in discussion, but they don't yet have the equipment to do labs yet.
We did do LANE though. I liked the instructor (James Park) and was overall
very happy with the class. Very grueling. I was getting there around 8am,
staying until James kicked us out at 9pm, and then going home and telnetting
back in for a couple more hours.
If you can't get into ECP from Mentor, look into ARS's class. It's called
Bridges, Routers and Switches, just like Caslow's book.
